The Farndale Avenue Drama Society Murder Mystery
Written by David McGillivray & Walter Zerlin Jr
Directed by Richard Catmore
The members of the F.A.H.E.T.G. Dramatic Society are relieved and excited to be able to perform their latest production, ‘Murder at Checkmate Manor,” at The Playhouse, Preston’s foremost theatre! Though more used to playing on their own little stage [still drying out after the accident at the end of their last production, ‘Titanic, The Musical’], the cast and backstage team, ably supported by interfering ‘helpers’ from our own Preston Drama Club, are sure to make this production one to remember! And though there may well be difficulties [ let us say ‘teething problems’ ] with some of the more technical aspects of Theatre, such as scenery, lighting, properties, appropriate and well fitting costume, cues, prompts and generally speaking, the acting, these are sure to be overcome and hardly noticed at all by you, the members of the audience.
As an added bonus, there will also be a short, but delightful film introducing you to our lovely village around Farndale Avenue and a few of its colourful characters, some of whom you may recognise from reports in the more lurid newspapers.
Oh, we should add: this is a comedy. It will make you laugh. We hope…
